Once you have caught a rat you have a few options:

1. Keep it as a pet (aka collectible art jpeg that lives in your wallet forever)

2. Sell it on an NFT marketplace

3. Burn it for $kGOLD

Burning has another benefit besides the reward. You will only be able to set traps in new rooms if you have completed the Factory Floor by burning at least one of the 9 available rats.
